Lokni is a Czech startup fighting plastic waste through a network of filtered water stations. At Qest, we helped them create a mobile app that connects users with water quickly, easily, and with care for the planet.

Lokni approached us with a request to design and develop a mobile app that would allow people to track their environmental impact, monitor their hydration, and easily find the nearest filtered water station. The key requirement was the simplest possible interaction with the dispensing station – no tokens or complicated payments. Just pure water – smart and sustainable.
Lokni sought a way to simplify interactions with their stations and make the user experience as smooth as possible. The goal was to build an app so simple and enjoyable that users would instantly connect with it, and make it part of their daily routine.
We built the app using React Native for seamless performance on both Android and iOS. It's fully integrated with Lokni's backend and cloud infrastructure for user and transaction management. The development process included close collaboration with the Lokni team, including hands-on testing at actual stations located at train stations and universities.
