Perfect-Air is a startup that creates sensors for measuring air quality, pollen concentration, gases, and particulate matter. Our goal was to create an application that displays air quality data across Europe and provides users with a comprehensive overview.
Integration of various data sources Development in React and React Native Creation and processing of heatmaps Advanced interpolation and georeferencing methods Systems for data collection and archiving
The goal of the project was to improve access to air quality data and provide users with a map displaying up-to-date information on dust, pollen, gases, and other factors. We ensured that the data was available at sufficient density and from various sources for a real-world view of air quality.
The main challenge was acquiring and combining data from different sources to create an accurate heatmap. It was necessary to address the problem of interpolating different datasets and displaying them efficiently in both web and mobile applications, including time-based interactions with the map.
We created a demo application for testing with data from various open sources. After analysis, we integrated data from the European Space Agency (ESA) and satellite data, ensuring the required quality for the heatmap. We then optimized the system for fast data processing and map visualization.
Qcast is our own podcast about innovations in programming. In this episode, we focus on the challenges and solutions we created for the Prezident 21 app.
