Direct Auto is part of Direct Group and operates a network of branches, dealerships, and auto repair shops across the Czech Republic. To expand the Mobility Guarantee service, we developed a web application that significantly speeds up the work of operators handling traffic accidents.
Next.js, Google Maps + Supercluster
Direct Auto wanted to offer clients more than standard service – fast assistance after an accident, including a free replacement vehicle. Our goal was to build a clear and reliable application that enables call center operators to find the most suitable repair shop within seconds, based on the accident location and vehicle parameters. The key focus was on speed, simplicity, and flawless operation in critical situations.

The biggest challenge was quickly coding new components based on the design system and adapting the original structure in Strapi to fit them — all within a tight three-month deadline.

We built the application on Next.js to ensure fast rendering and smooth data handling. For the map layer, we used the Google Maps API combined with Supercluster, enabling efficient clustering of large numbers of points. The operator enters the accident location, selects vehicle parameters, and immediately sees the nearest available repair shops. The entire interface is designed so operators can focus on the client – the tool.

„After deploying the new interactive map of Direct’s partner repair shops, the work of call center colleagues assisting clients after car accidents became significantly faster. Directing clients to the right repair shop with priority acceptance is now quicker, far more user-friendly, and requires minimal manual input. Operators especially appreciate the largely automatic recommendations of the most suitable repair shops and their ranking, filtering by vehicle type, and the overall clarity of the interface. As a result, they feel more confident during calls, make decisions faster, and provide clients with more accurate recommendations.“
